THE DETAILS
The questions we get asked at the bench, answered the way we'd answer them on the phone.
A box clasp. A folded metal tongue snaps into a box, and a safety catch folds over the top as a second lock. It's the only part of the bracelet that isn't diamonds, and it's the part that fails when a bracelet gets lost. Push it until you hear it click, then close the safety.
We build these in five lengths: 6, 6.5, 7, 7.5 and 8 inches, and seven fits most women. Measure your wrist with a strip of paper and add about half an inch: the bracelet should slide over the wrist bone and stop there, not hang down at the base of your hand. Too loose and it turns over, so the stones face your skin.
Total weight decides the width of the line more than anything else. Around 2 carats across 7 inches reads as a fine bracelet you'd wear on a Tuesday. At 5 carats and up the individual stones are big enough to be seen across a table, and the price moves with them.
Prongs show the most stone and let light in from the sides, which is why the classic tennis bracelet is prong set. A bezel or a channel wraps metal around each diamond: less stone shows, but nothing snags a sleeve. For a bracelet that's worn every day, the wrapped settings are the calmer choice.

A tennis bracelet is the simplest thing we make and one of the hardest to make well. There's no design to hide behind. Fifty or sixty stones have to look like one diamond repeated, and the finished line has to lie flat on a wrist that never stops moving.
All 64 bracelets here are made to order in our own US factory, in 14K or 18K white, yellow or rose gold, or in platinum. The name comes from the 1987 US Open, where Chris Evert stopped her match to look for the diamond line bracelet that had come off her wrist.
Matching is where the money goes. The stones are sorted for color and clarity before a single one is set, because one stone half a grade off is visible next to its neighbors in a way it never would be in a ring. The shelf runs every one of them a natural diamond, and the title on every card says which. Prices here range as low as $2,085.99.
