Neither is better. 18K is 75% gold, so the color is richer and the pair costs more. 14K is 58.3% gold, which makes it harder and a little more forgiving of daily wear. Every pair on this page is made to order in either one.
It can lend a warm cast to a stone set close to the metal, which is why a near-colorless diamond often looks its best in yellow gold. If you want the stone to read as white as possible, ask us about a white gold head on a yellow gold body. Every piece here is made to order.
