I play a fun game of spades every two weeks and I get so many compliments and until I blush. I wear it a lot. I'm glad I bought it. Thanks for the price deal I got.
Same outline, two kinds of stone. Our blue, pink and yellow marquise diamonds are all lab grown, so they sit on that side.

Because it's the longest outline in the box. A marquise spreads a given weight further across the finger than any other shape we cut, so a 1.00 CT marquise reads larger than a 1.00 CT round, cushion or princess. There's no trick in that, it's geometry: the same weight laid out long and shallow instead of deep and compact. It's the whole argument for the shape, and it's why it's worth a look if size on the hand is what you're chasing. Prices on this page range as low as $1,087.99.
Both ends are points, so both need covering, and that's a setting decision more than a stone decision. We set marquise with V-prongs at each tip, wrapping the edges rather than sitting a round prong on top of a corner. Done that way it wears like any other ring. The marquise that chips is nearly always the one set with plain prongs at the tips, and once you know to look you can see the difference from across a table.
More than on any shape we cut. A marquise has two points that have to sit on one axis and two halves that have to mirror each other, and when they don't, you see it face up without a loupe: one wing fatter than the other, or the tips pulling off line. On a round, a symmetry grade is a line on a report nobody notices. On a marquise it's the first thing your eye finds, so it's the one outline where we'll pass on a stone that grades fine on paper.
Most fall between 1.75 and 2.25 length to width, and 2.00 is the one people picture when they say marquise. Nearer 1.75 it looks fuller and a little softer. Nearer 2.25 it's dramatic, and it wants a longer finger to carry it. There isn't a right answer here, only the one that suits the hand it's going on. Tell us which piece you're looking at and we'll tell you the ratio of the stone in it.
Only if the band is cut for it. A marquise runs the length of the finger, so the lower point is what a straight band has to clear, and a straight band leaves a visible gap under it. The fix is to shape the band to the outline of the ring, and because everything here is made to order, that's a decision taken before the piece is cast rather than a repair afterward. Contact us with the ring you're considering and we'll tell you what the band needs to look like.

About Our Marquise Diamond Jewelry
Every marquise piece we make, on one page. It's a short list, and that's fine: marquise is a shape people arrive at knowing what they want, not one they browse into. We cast, set and finish all of it ourselves in our own US factory, and we've done it that way since 2001, which is why the prices read the way they do.
No shelves here. There isn't enough marquise to fill them, so it's one grid, rings first: engagement rings, then solitaires, earrings, bridal sets and fashion rings. On a page this small that beats a category tree, because you can see the whole shape in one screen and judge it as a set instead of opening half-empty drawers one at a time. Every piece is made to order in 14K or 18K white, yellow or rose gold, or in platinum, so the metal is a choice you make rather than one the stockroom makes for you.
Just under two thirds of the marquise here is set with lab grown diamonds and the rest with natural, and the switch under the hero shows you one branch at a time. Both are real purchases, so choose on budget and on the size you want, not on which one sounds better. Sixteen of the forty four are fancy color diamonds, six blue, six pink and four yellow, and every one of them is lab grown, which is most of why that side of the switch is the longer list. Prices range as low as $1,087.99, well under list on every piece. That isn't a promotion running this week. It's what comes off when the company that casts the ring and sets the stone is also the one selling it to you. We make your piece in 5 to 7 business days, and US shipping is 1 to 3 business days depending on the option you pick. Lab grown diamonds of 1.00 CT and up come with an IGI certificate stating the origin and the grades. If a marquise turns out to be more outline than you wanted, our diamond shapes guide covers the other nine. Caught between two of these, contact us and we'll talk them through with you.
