PEAR SHAPED DIAMOND JEWELRY

A pear is a brilliant with one point, and it's worn point up toward the fingernail, which is the whole reason it makes a finger look longer. This is everything we cut in it, small enough to take in at once. 45 pieces, lab grown or natural, mostly engagement rings and solitaires with bridal sets, pendants and earrings alongside them, made to order in 14K or 18K white, yellow or rose gold, or platinum, with prices ranging as low as $837.99.

One outline, two kinds of stone. Neither is the lesser buy, so pick the one you're shopping for.

That grid is what we currently make in pear. These three doors open the wider catalog, filters and all.

THE DETAILS

Buying Pear Diamond Jewelry

The answer comes first here, from the bench that sets these stones. What applies to every piece on this page: a Lifetime Limited Labor Warranty, a 30-day return window, free US shipping, and Affirm at checkout if you'd rather pay over time. We make your piece in 5 to 7 business days. US shipping is 1 to 3 business days, depending on the option you pick. If your question isn't below, contact us and we'll answer it.

Point up, toward your fingernail. That's how nearly everyone wears it, and it's where the flattering part comes from: the taper carries your eye along the finger and the whole hand reads longer. Point down isn't wrong, it just gives that up. We set them point up unless you tell us otherwise, so if you want it the other way, say so on the order and we'll build it that way.

Some do. A bow tie is a dark band across the waist of the stone, and it comes from how deep the cutter left the belly, not from an inclusion, so no certificate will warn you about it. Every pear gets looked at face up on our bench before it goes into a setting. A faint one that only shows at certain angles is normal and nobody sees it on the hand. A heavy one we don't set. If you want eyes on the exact stone first, contact us.

At the same carat weight, yes. A 1.00 CT pear covers more finger than a 1.00 CT round, because the weight is spread down a longer outline instead of packed into a circle, so more of it faces up. The price follows the same geometry: a fancy shape keeps more of the rough crystal than a round does, so it costs less per carat for the same weight. Prices on this page range as low as $837.99.

Most people land between 1.45 and 1.75, and 1.50 is the safe middle. Under about 1.40 a pear starts to read stubby and you lose the lengthening effect you bought it for. Over about 1.80 it gets narrow, the point gets more delicate, and it suits a long finger more than a short one. There's no correct number, only the one that looks right on the hand it's going on. Tell us which piece you're looking at and we'll tell you the ratio of the stone we'd set in it.

Yes, at the tip. The point is the thinnest part of the stone and it's where a knock lands, so it takes a V-prong that wraps both edges instead of a round prong perched on top of it. That's how we set every pear on this page. It protects the stone, and it keeps the point looking like a point, which a plain prong flattens. Past that, a pear wears like any other ring: look at the prongs once a year, and our Lifetime Limited Labor Warranty covers the work if the tip ever needs it.

About Our Pear Diamond Jewelry

One shape, everything we make in it. Pear is what people pick when they want the ring to do something to the hand, and the list here is short and deliberate rather than a wall of options. We've cast, set and polished all of it ourselves since 2001, in our own US factory, and that's the only reason the prices sit this low.

There are no shelves on this page, and that's on purpose. There isn't enough pear to need them, so it's one grid, rings first: engagement rings and solitaires, then bridal sets, halo and three stone rings, with pendants and earrings after. On a page this size that's a feature, not a shortcut. You can see the entire shape at once instead of clicking through eight categories to find out how few sit in each. Every piece is made to order in 14K or 18K white, yellow or rose gold, or in platinum, so the metal isn't decided by what happens to be in a drawer.

About seven in ten of the pear pieces here are set with lab grown diamonds and the rest with natural ones, and the switch under the hero shows you one branch or the other. Neither is a downgrade of the other, they're two different purchases. Prices range as low as $837.99, and every piece runs well under list. That gap isn't a sale week. It's what comes off the price when one company casts the piece, sets the stone and sells it to you. We make your piece in 5 to 7 business days, and US shipping is 1 to 3 business days depending on the option you pick. Lab grown diamonds of 1.00 CT and up come with an IGI certificate stating the origin and the grades. If the outline isn't quite what you pictured, our diamond shapes guide walks through the other nine. Stuck between two of these, contact us and we'll go through them with you.
