RADIANT CUT DIAMOND JEWELRY

A radiant is a cut-cornered rectangle with brilliant faceting packed inside it, which is another way of saying you get an emerald cut's outline and a round's sparkle in one stone. This is every radiant piece we make, all of it on one screen. 36 pieces, lab grown or natural, engagement rings and solitaires first, then bridal sets, earrings and pendants, made to order in 14K or 18K white, yellow or rose gold, or platinum, with prices ranging as low as $1,025.99.

Two kinds of stone, one outline. Lab grown and natural are two purchases here, not a better and a lesser one.

Buying Radiant Diamond Jewelry

Answer first, reasoning after. Every radiant piece here comes with a Lifetime Limited Labor Warranty and 30 days to send it back, US shipping is free, and Affirm sits at checkout if you'd rather pay over time. We make the piece in 5 to 7 business days. US shipping is 1 to 3 business days, depending on the option you choose. If your question isn't here, contact us and we'll answer it.

Same outline, opposite interiors. Both are cut-cornered rectangles, so from across a room they look alike. An emerald cut is a step cut, long flat facets in parallel rows, so it reads clear and glassy, more like looking into ice than at fireworks. A radiant is brilliant faceted, the same family of triangular and kite facets a round uses, packed into that rectangle. So a radiant sparkles like a round and stretches the finger like an emerald cut. If you love the shape but the emerald cut looks too quiet to you, radiant is the answer to that.

Yes, and it's the corners that do it. A princess has four sharp right-angle corners, and a corner is the thinnest, most exposed part of any stone, which is why a chipped princess is nearly always chipped at a corner. A radiant's corners are trimmed off, so there's a short flat edge there instead of a knife point and more stone for a prong to grip. We cover the corners on both, but the radiant gives us something better to hold. If you want the rectangular look on a ring worn every day, that trimmed corner is a real argument.

Considerably. Brilliant faceting breaks light up and scatters it, and scattered light disguises small inclusions and a touch of warmth in the color. A step cut does the opposite: those long flat facets act like windows, so an emerald cut shows you everything inside it and you end up paying for clarity to keep it clean. On a radiant you can usually take a lower clarity grade, put the difference into size, and see nothing different face up. That's the practical reason people choose one over the other.

Both, and the ratio decides which you're looking at. Around 1.00 to 1.05 length to width the stone reads square, and people mistake it for a princess. Push it out to 1.25 or 1.50 and it reads long, and people mistake it for an emerald cut. A square radiant sits well in a halo and on a shorter finger. An elongated one lengthens the hand. Tell us which piece you're looking at and we'll tell you the ratio of the stone that's in it.

Per carat, usually yes, and it's a yield difference at the cutting wheel rather than a quality difference. Getting a round takes roughly half the rough crystal away. A radiant keeps far more of it, so you aren't paying for weight that ended up as dust. Prices on this page range as low as $1,025.99, and if size is the thing you're after, the lab grown side of the switch goes furthest per dollar.

About Our Radiant Diamond Jewelry

One outline, everything we cut in it. Radiant is where people land when an emerald cut looks too quiet and a round looks too expected, and there are few enough here that you can look at all of them properly. We've made them in our own US factory since 2001, casting, setting and polishing under one roof, which is the whole reason these prices work.

This page has no shelves, because there isn't enough radiant to justify them. It's one grid, rings first: engagement rings and solitaires, then earrings, bridal sets, eternity and pendants. For a shape this size that's the honest layout. You see the entire thing in one screen, and you don't click into a category only to find it holds two items. Everything is made to order in 14K or 18K white, yellow or rose gold, or in platinum, so the metal is a choice rather than whatever was already cast.

The split between lab grown and natural here runs close to even, with a little more lab grown, and the switch under the hero filters the page to one or the other. Both branches are diamonds and both are proper purchases. Prices range as low as $1,025.99, every piece under list. That isn't a sale week. It's what comes off when one company casts the ring, sets the stone and sells it to you with nobody in between. We make your piece in 5 to 7 business days, and US shipping is 1 to 3 business days depending on the option you pick. Lab grown diamonds of 1.00 CT and up come with an IGI certificate stating the origin and the grades. If a radiant isn't quite the outline you had in mind, our diamond shapes guide goes through the other nine. Down to two and can't choose, contact us and we'll go through them with you.
